Background
I read Natural Sciences at Cambridge and completed a DPhil in Physics at Oxford. I taught maths and physics at two of London's independent schools, Alleyn's and Brentwood, then and spent time in industry working in various data and machine learning roles at FTSE 100 companies and most recently as Head of GenAI at Octopus Energy.
Most tutors come from one of two backgrounds: full-time school teaching, or postgraduate research. I have done both. 15 years in industry means I can also speak to how this material is actually used outside the exam.
